Suffering with Christ

Think about a time of suffering you have experienced or are experiencing now. How does knowing that Christ suffers with you change this situation?

Knowing that Jesus is with me during the times of deepest darkness changes how I repond in the long-term. I might have deep sorrow. I might be deeply wounded. I might have a lack of understanding. But, Jesus is deeply and profoundly near to those who are mourning and need to be comforted. He is the one who took our wounds on His back to remedy all of the pain. He knows all and is sovereign over all. Knowing this helps me push through tough seasons to know that His truth prevails and His love endures.

God is good and gracious.
