This weekend all of the interns at Karis Church attended a conference for Porterbrook. Porterbrook is the theological training that I will be getting throughout the internship. We have readings, small group discussions, and assignments due for the classes that we are taking. A lot of work in the future, but it should be amazing to learn and experience!
If you are interested in learning more about Porterbrook, check out their website: www.porterbrooknetwork.org
Here is a quick shot of some of the interns and some of the friends that we met during the conference. Jesse is making such a nice face in this photo.
The Bridge is the church that hosted the Porterbrook conference. They renovated an auto-body shop and made it into a small church location. Good times here.

Lori and I taking a photo together. She apparently enjoys how I wear a hat...
Karis Church has a monthly meeting for anyone who is new to come and hear what Karis Church believes and where we started from. Kevin, the lead pastor at Karis, taught the class yesterday. We had twenty people there! Praise God for people connecting to the body, the church.
After Ali and I went shopping for groceries, I received a phone call from a good friend. He asked if he and his wife could come over and hang out. I obviously said that they were more than welcome to come over, and this is what they brought over. I made some jokes about the text on the cookie cake, but once I began eating it the jokes came to an end. Praise God for Josh and Delilah Pugsley.
Good weekend. Long weekend.
God is good and gracious.
